The latest Star Wars 1313 footage comes courtesy of The Vault, a relatively new YouTube channel normally filled with gameplay videos and throwbacks of the original Battlefront 3. For some reason, The Vault deviated from its usual content slate, uploading gameplay footage of Star Wars 1313. The footage sees Boba Fett casually walking through an unfinished underground market with NPCs moving about. Later on in the video, Boba Fett does what he does best and goes to chase down a target. Unsurprisingly, the area where the chase sequence happens is largely unfinished albeit with a rather detailed meat locker. You can tell how Star Wars 1313 was a product of its time, complete with Uncharted-like traversal mechanics. The chase ends with Boba Fett successfully capturing his mark with the footage ending just a few moments later after showcasing some animations and gameplay. Would Star Wars 1313 have done well? We’ll never know. After it was announced in 2012 by LucasArts, Disney shut down the game following its acquisition of Lucasfilm and the Star Wars license. Still, it’s nice to know how Star Wars 1313 could have looked if Disney gave LucasArts a chance to pursue the game. If it’s any consolation, we can’t rule out the possibility of Disney re-visiting the premise of Star Wars 1313. After years of EA exclusivity, there are several Star Wars games in development right now from various studios and publishers. Of course, EA remains at the forefront of it all, with at least three games in the works, including a sequel to 2019’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Meanwhile, Aspyr Media is at the helm of a PS5 remake of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Finally, Quantic Dream will try its hands on an action-adventure game for the first time in Star Wars: Eclipse. Seeing as to how big Star Wars continues to be after all these years, who knows? Disney or someone else could take a look at the remaining footage of Star Wars 1313 and think that a complete, next-gen version would do well.
