What do you need to run Far Cry 6 on PC?

According to Ubisoft, you could technically run Far Cry 6 on a $500 gaming PC. Sure, you’ll have to make some heavy compromises in terms of frame rates and resolution, but the point remains. Even better is if you could spend your money on lower-priced graphics cards like the AMD Radeon RX 460 and Nvidia GeForce GTX 960. Neither of these should cost you more than $100 on the second-hand market. If you have either installed and at least 8GB of RAM, your PC should run Far Cry 6 on low settings at a 1080p resolution with no problems. Of course, even though Far Cry 6 isn’t the most graphically demanding game, it is still beautiful. To enjoy the game at its best, you’ll need to shell out some serious cash. For 1440p and no ray tracing, Ubisoft recommends having at least an AMD Ryzen 5 3600X or Intel i7-9700 as your processor; having AMD RX 5700 XT or Nvidia RTX 2070 Super as your graphics card; at least 16GB of RAM. Meanwhile, for Ultra Settings, you’ll need at least flagship-class graphics cards like the AMD RX 6800 and Nvidia RTX RTX 3080. Even middle-range processors won’t cut it as you’ll have to upgrade to the Ryzen 7 5800X and Intel i7-10700k. If you want to enjoy Far Cry 6 without having to worry about all of this technical jargon, you could just buy a PS5 or Xbox Series X. The latest Far Cry installment will reportedly run at native 4K resolution and 60 frames per second on current-gen consoles.
