Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will deviate from previous outings. After centering mostly around the Autobots and the Decepticons, the upcoming Transformers film will introduce a fan-favorite “sub-faction”. The trailer didn’t shy away from giving the animal-based cybertronic platforms a thunderous entrance. Now, the fandom is salivating at the chance to watch the action unfold in theaters. Transformers: Rise of Beasts will continue the trend of seeing long-time series director, Michael Bay, take the backseat and work as a producer. After Travis Knight had his turn with the 2018 prequel/reboot, Bumblebee, Steven Caple Jr. will take over the helm this time around. Set years after the events of Bumblebee, Rise of the Beasts will follow the story of Anthony Ramos’ Noah and Dominique Fishback’s Elena finding themselves in the middle of the still-ongoing war between rival factions, the Autobots and the Decepticons. However, the main highlight this time around are the Maximals, Predacons, and the Terrorcons. The trailer isn’t afraid to give us audiences plenty of visual eye candy.

♬ Transformers - ST_Music The striking designs of the organic beings prove Paramount Pictures did its homework this time. However, we’re curious how the story will adopt Beast Wars. We’re sure it will involve time travel, as the Maximals and Predacons are supposed to be from the far future. For what it’s worth, we’re not the only ones with questions. As seen in the trailer, Peter Cullen’s Optimus Prime is just as surprised as we are to meet his descendant, Ron Perlman’s Optimus Primal. We’ll know more about how this fateful meeting will turn out on June 9 when Transformers: Rise of Beasts hits theaters.
