Starting on July 19, Extra and Premium tier subscribers of the new PlayStation Plus will enjoy the following games:
Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag Assassin’s Creed Freedom Cry Assassin’s Creed Rogue Remastered Assassin’s Creed Unity Final Fantasy VII Remake Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade - PS5 Ice Age: Scrat’s Nutty Adventure Jumanji: The Video Game LocoRoco: Midnight Carnival - PS Plus Premium Only Marvel’s Avengers - PS4/PS5 No Heroes Allowed - PS Plus Premium Only Paw Patrol on a Roll ReadySet Heroes Saints Row 4: Re-Elected Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell Spirit of the North: Enhanced Edition Stray - PS4/PS5
We’ve known for a while that PS Plus subscribers will get Stray, but we were not expecting such many titles. The PS Plus Game Catalog just grew by a whopping 19 games and the best part is that they’re not exactly throwaway freebies either. Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is a $70 value alone. If we take a closer look at the new additions, a recurring theme with the incoming games is that they are all previous installments of games with upcoming sequels. The FF7 Crisis Core remaster will launch later this year followed by Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on December 2023. We’re also expecting a new Assassins’ Creed game announcement in September. Finally, the Saints Row reboot will come out next month. More than half of the 19 new games will serve as a primer for what’s coming to the PS4 and the PS5 soon. The only disappointing part is the Premium/Deluxe freebies. No Heroes Allowed and LocoRoco Midnight Carnival aren’t the most memorable PSP games, but they’re a good start. If nothing else, we’re hoping that Sony has more planned for its most expensive subscription service. Speaking of Sony, the huge PS Plus update on July 19 comes just after the service welcomed Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, among others, to all PS Plus subscribers earlier this month.
