Earlier in the year, the publisher revealed it’s working on a remake of the popular game for the PS5 and Xbox Series S/X. The revelation came during the PlayStation State of Play back in June and was accompanied by a trailer that showcased the game’s modernized graphics. However, apart from an evident change to the game’s aesthetics, the trailer did not provide insight into any other aspect of the game, especially the mechanics. Here is the story of the Resident Evil 4 remake, as per the official website: Capcom published the original Resident Evil 4 in 2005 and it quickly captured the hearts of both critics and fans alike. While the publisher initially announced the game as a GameCube exclusive, it was eventually ported to other platforms, including PlayStation 2, PC, and Wii. It’s widely considered the best Resident Evil game of all time and one of the most influential games in history. Leon S. Kennedy, one of the survivors of the incident, has been recruited as an agent reporting directly to the president of the United States. With the experience of multiple missions on his back, Leon is sent to rescue the president’s kidnapped daughter. He tracks her to a secluded European village, where there is something terribly wrong with the villagers. And the curtain rises on this story of daring rescue and grueling horror. While there is a dearth of information on the game at the moment, Capcom revealed it will provide more details during the Resident Evil Showcase live stream in October. In other news, the company confirmed that a cloud version of Resident Evil Village, among others, is coming to the Nintendo Switch before the year ends. Furthermore, it will also release a DLC titled Winters Expansion for Resident Evil Village next month.
