Jimmy Donaldson or widely recognized as MrBeast, recently broke the 100 million YouTube subscribers benchmark surpassing Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg over a month ago. His self-funded videos and partnerships with Epic Games, among others, have now catapulted his popularity into a new stratosphere. According to the Twitter account of YT Battles, a YouTube analytics community with close to 300,000 subscribers, MrBeast’s channel registered the biggest subscriber count growth over a week for the year. With 3,188,959 new subscribers gained from December 12 to 18 in the 50th week of the year, MrBeast posted this year’s fastest-growing YouTube channel. Which is impressive on its own, until you remember that he’s already at the top.

— MrBeast (@MrBeast) December 20, 2022 The only explanation for his skyrocketing popularity has to be his dedication to his content. Instead of hoarding the money his viewers and subscribers have brought him, he invests most of his money back into making content. From renting out entire football stadiums and theme parks to purchasing a private island and recreating the popular Netflix original series Squid Game, MrBeast did it all this year. We’re curious to find out what else MrBeast has in store for his fans next year.
