So far, the two possible release dates leaked for Redfall are late 2022 and October, but it appears that another delay is likely. According to eagle-eyed observers on Reddit, the latest update to the official page for the upcoming Arkane Studios title states that the game is “coming Winter 2022.” This would imply that Redfall will come out in December. On the other hand, some are saying that the page still shows that the game will launch in “Summer 2022” on their end. However, absent any actual confirmation from Arkane, Bethesda, and Microsoft, all we have to go on are the conflicting reports.
If it helps, other users tried to make sense of the confusion. For example, Microsoft Store automatically adjusts the release date depending on where you are. In addition, Winter in the Southern Hemisphere is the opposite of the North Hemisphere, lasting from May to September as opposed to December to March in America. Because of this, Redfall isn’t delayed yet as Winter 2022 in countries like Brazil is Summer 2022 in North America. A server glitch might help explain why the release date shows Winter 2022 for some users that live in Canada, North America, and the United Kingdom. Ultimately, a delay to Redfall isn’t the most surprising thing. Microsoft definitely wants to make sure that Arkane’s first exclusive for the Xbox makes its mark. It’s simply too soon between Deathloop and Redfall to expect a quality title. Then again, we’d love for Arkane to prove us wrong. Speaking of Deathloop, Arkane’s most recent project will hit Xbox consoles in September.
