Arguably the three biggest games coming to the PS4 and the PS5 next week are Turtle Rock Studios’ spiritual successor to Left 4 Dead, Back 4 Blood; top-tier anime fighting game, Dragon Ball FighterZ; and Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition. But, if they’re not your cup of tea, don’t worry, because there’s a lot more where that came from. On top of the three said games, Life is Strange and its prequel, Life is Strange: Before the Storm, are part of the lineup as well. Other new inclusions are Sayonara Wild Hearts, Just Cause 4: Reloaded, Jett: The Far Shore, Omno, and Erica.
Save maybe for Omno and Erica, you’ve probably been wanting to play the incoming PS Plus games, so now’s as good of a time as any to upgrade your subscription if you haven’t already. Also, as a bonus, Premium-tier subscribers can pick up three classic PSOne titles: Syphon Filter 3, Hot Shots Golf 2, and Star Wars Demolition. Just in case these still aren’t enough to convince you to buy into Sony’s newest subscription service, the current PlayStation Plus Essential freebies can be had for cheap. The January lineup adds Fallout 76, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, and Axiom Verge 2, to your backlog of must-play games. Speaking of tiered subscription services, Ubisoft is looking to compete against Sony and Microsoft with a similar offering.
