For October 2021, the free PS Plus October 2021 games are Mortal Kombat X and PGA Tour 2K21 for PS4, as well as Hell Let Loose for PS5.

Why are fans not happy with the PS Plus October 2021 lineup?

A few weeks ago, a trusted source leaked the PS Plus October 2021 freebies. Back then, audiences couldn’t help but express their dismay, especially after the strong September 2021 lineup. The free PS5 title, Hell Let Loose, is a World War II multiplayer shooter. The game was first launched in early access in June 2019 before making its way to Windows PCs earlier this year. It will be available on the PS5 and Xbox Series X starting on October 5. If it’s any consolation, the complaints aren’t targeted towards Hell Let Loose. If anything, audiences love Hell Let Loose. The game currently holds a 79 score on Metacritic with several thousand positive reviews on Steam. In particular, PC gamers find the unique commander role interesting. This one player leads either side and can order airstrikes, as well as manage resource nodes for other players to maintain. It will be interesting to see if console players echo similar statements. Perhaps the biggest issue that subscribers have is with the PS4 titles: PGA Tour 2K21 and Mortal Kombat X. The former was released in 2020, and while it’s a passable golf simulator, it’s has a few rough edges. Meanwhile, the latter is already part of the PlayStation Plus Collection, a catalog of 20 games given free to anyone who owns a PlayStation 5 and maintains a PS Plus subscription. With that said, PS Plus subscribers can start downloading October’s PS Plus games starting on October 5 up until November 1. In the meantime, Hitman 2, Predator: Hunting Grounds, as well as Overcooked! All You Can Eat, are still available until October 4.
