In a recent Warzone stream alongside fellow streamer, TimTheTatman, Dr. Disrespect couldn’t help but criticize the current mess that is Warzone. The popular streamer encountered a smorgasbord of gameplay issues, ranging from audio issues to inconsistent hitboxes as well as stream snipers. Dr. Disrespect ended his stream by saying that all of these problems have made him “uninterested” in Warzone for the nth time in as many years.
In general, Activision Blizzard is going through a tough time. The publisher might not admit it, but the workplace harassment allegations have affected the quality of their products. It’s come to the point that Activision had to apologize for the current state of Call of Duty: Warzone. However, despite the company’s tumultuous situation, the game’s development team still released the massive Warzone Pacific content update. As part of the game’s latest set of new features, Warzone Pacific got a new map, more than 40 weapons, and of course, the highly anticipated RICOCHET anti-cheat software. Having said that, Dr. Disrespect’s recent criticisms of Warzone do not help at all. A handful of times, Doc put Warzone’s audio issues on blast as players easily snuck up on him with no footsteps heard. Dr. Disrespect also couldn’t help but express his frustration towards the endless stream snipers that target him. Although this isn’t something that Activision has full control over, there are ways for the studio to make life easier for streamers. Once his Warzone stream ended, Dr. Disrespect switched over to Overwatch. It remains to be seen if Dr. Disrespect will come back and play Warzone again. Speaking of Activision, a lot has happened over the past few weeks and it’s not just because of the Microsoft acquisition. According to recent reports, Activision has fielded a team of 11 studios to work with Infinity Ward on 2022’s Call of Duty game. Also, rumors suggest that Activision is working on a sequel to Warzone that’s due to be released in the next few years for the PS5 and Xbox Series S/X.
