TV Line reports that the next season of The Mandalorian will premiere in December 2022, sometime around Christmas. However, TV Line did not clarify if their report comes from a trusted source or if it’s just speculation, so take it with a grain of salt. But, when you think about it, a December premiere for The Mandalorian makes sense. Both the first two seasons of The Mandalorian premiered right around the holiday season. The same goes for the universe-altering The Book of Boba Fett, which many fans have labeled as The Mandalorian 2.5 after featuring so many characters from the Pedro Pascal-led TV series. The good news here is that Disney+ isn’t just about to leave Star Wars fans hanging. After The Book of Boba Fett ended following an epic finale poster reveal, Obi-Wan Kenobi is on the docket next, as we’ve already mentioned. In addition, The Bad Batch season 2 and Andor are both coming in the second half of 2022. In an ideal scenario, both of these will complete their run just in time for The Mandalorian season 3. Speaking of Star Wars, it’s a great time to be a Star Wars fan these days. The sequel trilogy might have already ended, but Disney is not done with Star Wars yet. On top of what Disney has already confirmed, there could potentially be another trilogy’s worth of content in the planning stages right now if not more. There’s also a laundry list of Star Wars games to look forward to, including three from Respawn Entertainment, Eclipse from Quantic Dreams, and the Knights of the Old Republic remake from Aspyr Media, among others. Between video games, TV shows, and maybe even movies, the end of Star Wars is still very much far, far away.
