According to the support page, Bethesda Softworks still intends to release the upcoming Xbox Series S/X inclusive within the next six months. It might not be an exact release date, but it’s reasonable to expect that the game isn’t going to be delayed because of the recent development. Surprisingly enough, Starfield’s release window puts it awfully close to Redfall, which might come out in May. We suppose releasing Xbox exclusives close together is better than last year’s relatively empty slate. Starfield is one of the most highly anticipated games in recent memory for several reasons. For one, it’s by Bethesda, a studio well-known for marquee franchises like The Elder Scrolls and Fallout. In addition to this, the words “sci-fi RPG” always tend to draw interest despite how many times gamers have been burned before. Finally, Starfield is a promising project that should tide open-world RPG fans over until the next big thing comes along. Also, don’t forget, the sooner Starfield is out and going smoothly, the earlier we’re going to get to play The Elder Scrolls 6 and Fallout 5. Speaking of the Xbox, Microsoft’s latest consoles aren’t falling behind the PlayStation 5 as much as expected. The release of games like Starfield should only help drive up sales of the Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X.
