According to the Season 1 Outcomes Report, “Jeff Steitzer’s voice is returning to call out player-earned medals,” when Season 2 of Big Team Battle in Halo Infinite returns. Halo Infinite is currently in the middle of its first season, Heroes of Reach. At five months and going, it’s easily one of the longest seasons in a live-service game in recent memory. The arrival of the second season should bring in much-needed fresh content for Halo Infinite, which has been suffering from player loss for months. For most fans, a Halo game isn’t the same if Jeff is not the one calling out player-earned medals. Thankfully, 343 confirmed last year that the fan-favorite announcer will return for Halo Infinite. Also, players have a reason to celebrate as the voice actor will continue lending his talents to Big Team Battle, a notable exclusion since his voice is already featured in the Arena game modes. With 343 confirming the return of his iconic voice for BTB on Season 3, along with a slew of incoming updates, Halo Infinite is only going to get better. Speaking of better, 343 outlined all the upcoming changes to Halo Infinite on May 3, which will include a new Big Team Battle map, Breaker, as well as Catalyst and Attrition, new maps for Arena game modes. 343 also promised fixes for a handful of ongoing issues and bugs, notably frequent crashes, on the PC, for Halo Infinite. Unfortunately, 343 still has a long way to go to deliver a complete Halo Infinite experience. After the initial delay last year, 343 still hasn’t released Forge mode and it likely won’t be here for a long time. The only silver lining here is that 343 is doing a great job listening to player feedback and doing everything it can to try and keep up with the thinning patience of Halo fans who want to see the studio do Halo Infinite right. For what it’s worth, Halo Infinite’s second season is the biggest update for the game yet. Only time will tell if fan reception to Season 2 of Halo Infinite is positive, but we’re hoping that 343 has more in store than what they’ve already announced. In other news, Paramount Plus’ Halo is a certified hit after posting record-breaking numbers for the streaming platform. Paramount will reportedly start filming Season 2 of Halo this summer.
